Yelp
My wife and I love eating at the Farmer's Catfish House!
It's a nice change of pace and the food is excellent! Very "rustic". Several family members of the owner work there and very friendly. I'm not much of a fish eater but I love the Catfish (farmed raised , NOT bottom feeders) here and the Peach Cobbler is to die for. We go before 6 pm and order the senior special for only $8 and the Peach Cobbler is included in the cost of the dinner. Very affordable. I highly recommend eating there.

Yelp
Nestled out in farmland you come up to the Catfish house. They have odd operating hours in which ti makes sense since they are in the middle of nowhere
It literally looks like a house but it is a restaurant.... This is as good as it gets when it comes to catfish. I've had a few places that rocked my world but this place takes it to another level. The fish was perfectly made and the breading tasted soooooo good. I also tried the lemon shrimp was perfectly breaded and cooked. I was also recommended to try the blackened catfish as that is the local favorite for sure.... I've only tried this place one time and let's just say i will be back SOON!!! They also serve gator as well! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL QUALITY BUSINESS"

Yelp
There just isn't anything else like it around here.
I wouldn't label it as Southern food but it is damn fine for what it is. The worst part is the wait - we waited outside (and in the narrow and tight doorway) for probably some 20-30 minutes. After 7 pm, it seems to clear out really quick. I will note this next time. Service was excellent - my drink never went empty and we were not neglected in the least. Even got a Boysenberry cobbler dessert on the house!

Yelp
First time here for two couples and let me just say, "We'll be back!"
A basket of hot, fresh fries and hush puppies were on our table before we could even get into our seats! After looking over the menu we all knew what we wanted. I had the Crawfish Enchiladas...yummy! They were perfect in every way. I could eat just these and be happy. Hubby ordered the breaded catfish fillets and was very pleased. Sometimes catfish can taste "muddy" but not these. Moist, flavorful, and delicious. One half of the couple we were with ordered the frog legs. She loved them and said she would order them again. The other half of the couple we were with does not like fish or seafood, so he ordered the rib-eye steak. Sometimes when you order beef at a fish place, the beef isn't all the good. Not so at Farmer's Catfish House. The steak was huge, covering almost all of his plate. It was cooked perfectly and he ended up taking almost half of it home because it was so large. We also had the fried okra appetizer which was very good, and peach cobbler for dessert. Just be warned that the small may not be enough for you, because you'll probably want more. The service was great. The girl stopped and chatted with us several times and our drinks were never empty. The owner came over as well and when she found out it was our first time there she said, "Where have you been? We've been here for 30 years!" She also told us a little about the original building (it used to be a gas station a long time ago), and that the floor under our feet was actually part of the living room of the little house that was attached to the gas station. A very good experience. And as I said at the beginning, "We'll be back!"
